It was a beautiful day for taking photos of Happy Hanky for our Spring media kits. I wanted to take Happy Hanky outside for this shoot and I thought the newly blossoming trees would be the perfect background for the bright Spring florals. The breeze made this shoot a little tricky so the styling and photography needed to be done quickly while it was calm. I love the way the photos turned out and thought I would share my favorites with you.

Mothers, Grandmothers, Godmothers…there are so many important ladies in our lives and Mother’s Day is the perfect celebration to show them you love and appreciate them. Happy Hanky is a great keepsake for mom to always keep tucked in her handbag as a way to think of you. 

On every Happy Hanky package, I share this special poem that my mom wrote to me:

Keep this hanky through the years,
For it will dry your happy tears.
In your tears memories hide,
Its folds will keep them all inside.
So when you choose to reminisce,
Happy tears are part of this.
Just blot them dry,
And keep them close.
For memories are what matter most. 

I just got some more stacks of beautiful vintage hankies from an Estate Sale. Vintage handkerchiefs are a perfectly, unique way to wrap a small gift. I love keeping a small stack just for myself to wrap little gifts for people. It’s like a gift inside a gift!

I love Easter. It is a time of new beginnings and a renewed sense of energy from the cold, dark winter months. I plan on dying eggs with my little guy and getting the house ready for the holiday this weekend. Take a few minutes this week to appreciate life and the excitement of new possibilities that Spring brings with it.

PINK I can’t think of a more feminine color. Everyone from Phillip Lim to Oscar de la Renta walked pink down their runways for Spring 2013. I love mixing up pink with harder colors like black or navy to give it a little edge so it’s not too Pretty in Pink. I think the new After Hours Happy Hanky handkerchief is equal parts sweet and sassy. It will make a great addition to your Spring bag!

I love having brunch with family and friends. Brunch is a relaxed time when the day is just beginning to unfold and there are still so many possibilities for the day. I enjoyed a delicious brunch with my hubby and little peanut at Green Eggs Cafe. They have 3 locations in Philly now, but my favorite is still the original on Dickinson Street. When I say they make the best brunch food ever, I am not exaggerating. They have a mouth watering menu to choose from but I love to see what is on their “today’s specials”. This time I got the Carmel Creme French Toast with poached pears.

 Sigh.

Spring is definitely in the air! The weather has been absolutely beautiful these last few days. It makes it feel like the perfect time to share with you our two new Spring handkerchief styles for men, Gold Fellow & Green Fellow.
