The Pocket Handkerchief

Because I am known as the handkerchief connesuir among my friends and family I am often asked at weddings and other events how to properly fold a man’s pocket handkerchief, also known as the pocket square.  The pocket square is a direct descendant of the handkerchief . The early 19th century saw this fashion statement as a sign of wealth, status, taste and creativity. Now the pocket handkerchief is in the midst of a resurgence due to the popularity of shows like Mad Men and the trend for men to “look dapper”, a la Don Draper.

Practice folding a man’s handkerchief by following the simple instructions on A Tailored Suit’s website (I couldn’t explain it better myself and they have helpful little pictures!)  http://www.atailoredsuit.com/mens-pocket-squares-folding(a).html
