I got a new thimble for Christmas! I have to finish sewing my Spring hanky collection prototypes. The shows begin in a couple of weeks!
I also use my thimbles to flip through my stacks of magazines and journals…it’s better than licking my finger!

I am watching Julie & Julia and eating a sticky bun with a cup of tea….thinking….I want to go to France. I have always drawn inspiration from what I know of Paris and have a longing to shop their boutiques (especially the linen shops!). Think of the fabulous hankies! Do you think that all Parisian women carry hankies? I imagine ladies waving, with hankies in hand, to their friends across the boulevard.
(And I wouldn’t mind eating a chocolate crossaint or two at a sidewalk cafe either!!)

there’s something nostalgic & charming about a woman taking out a hanky to blot her eyes or nose on a cold day. It’s so much better than a crummy, wrinkled tissue!
